Air Transportation: Air transportation (when included) is based on contracted bulk fare(s) in economy class on participating carriers. All fares are subject to change and availability. If the contracted bulk fare is not available for advertised packages, Kintetsu (thereafter referred to as “we”) will offer the next available fare and advise passengers of such case. In that case, we will offer the land package and airline package separately, and the condition of the package may change accordingly. Should airline schedule changes result in a necessity to alter the land arrangements, any additional expenses must be borne by the passenger.
Hotels: Accommodations are on “run-of-the-house” basis. We will accept requests for preferred room types such as twin, double, smoking or non smoking room, however, no guarantee will be made. If participating hotels are not available for the requested dates, we may offer alternative hotels and the total package price may change.
Meals: No meals are included in the advertised packages except for a group lunch during the Kyoto sightseeing tour.
Sightseeing: For the advertised package, the sightseeing by motorcoach is operated by local companies and may consist of multi-national participants and English-speaking guide.
Airport transfers: Airport transfers are not included in this package.
Prices: Prices do not include applicable taxes for airline tickets. The exact amount of applicable taxes will be indicated when package is purchased.
Passports & Visas: It is each passenger’s responsibility to make sure that they are in possession of a valid passport valid for 6 months from date of departure from last city visited and applicable visas. Tourist visa is not required for U.S. citizens, however, all other nationals must check visa requirements and visas must be secured prior to departure from the U.S. We will not be responsible for any delays, damages, losses, missed portions of tours, other missed services or entire cancellations incurred by passengers who fail to obtain necessary travel documents.
Deposits and Final Payments: Unless specified by Kintetsu representative, full payment must be paid upon confirming the purchase of the package.
Name change: Name change is not allowed for the packages that include airline reservation except when passenger gets married and legal name changes between the time of purchasing the package and departure date. In this case, name change may be allowed with a fee of $200. The amount of this fee is subject to change without notice.
Cancellations: Once the package has been purchased, the following cancellation policy (prior to departure) will apply. No exceptions will be honored. Purchasing comprehensive travel insurance by TRAVEL INSURED is highly recommended.

Refunds on Land Arrangements: Once your trip has commenced, no fund can be given for any missed transfers, sightseeing, meals, accommodations, services or any voluntary absence from a tour.
Baggage: Transpacific flights allow two checked bags per person with neither to exceed 62 inches. Total dimensions of both bags not to exceed 102 inches, plus one carry-on not to exceed 39 inches. In addition, baggage is limited to 70 pounds per bag. Any excess baggage is at the passenger’s own expense. Infants: No baggage permitted.
Airport Taxes, Airline Taxes & Fuel Surcharge are not included in the advertised prices and must be prepaid together when purchasing the package. The amount of applicable taxes and fee provided prior to the full payment is approximate and not guaranteed. It is subject to change without notice until full payment is made.
Insurance: We highly recommend that you purchase adequate and comprehensive travel insurance by TRAVEL INSURED before departure. Neither Kintetsu International nor your travel consultant is responsible for loss or damage to luggage, accidents en route or ill heath may require you to miss part of your trip or your return to the U.S.A. Any questions concerning the insurance policy should be directed to the insurance issuer not Kintetsu.
Special Notice: Delays, cancellations and overbookings may occur on air flights and land reservation by participating carriers and hotels. While we will do everything possible to avoid these inconveniences, it cannot and will not assume responsibility for the respective carriers and hotels.
Responsibility: The travel Agent and/or Tour Operators, Kintetsu International and its representative abroad, act only as agents for the various companies, owners or contractors providing the means of transportation, accommodation and other services. We do not own, manage, control, promote, run or operate any transportation or recreational vehicle, motel, hotel, restaurant, or any supplier of services. All exchange orders, coupons, and tickets are offered subject to the Terms & Conditions under which such services are offered or provided. Kintetsu International and its representatives assume no liability in arranging transportation, hotel, and other accommodations and are not responsible for any personal injury, illness or property damage or other loss or expense of any nature whatsoever arising directly or indirectly out of any actions of any person or supplier of services providing any of the services, programs or accommodations offered in connection with a tour. Further by participating in a Kintetsu International travel package, you are bound by our rules and you participate in the activities of the tour at your own risk. Kintetsu International assumes no responsibility at all and no liability at all for any death, injury, illness, quarantine, sickness, diseases, natural disaster, damage, loss, delay, accident, expense, defect or any other abnormality which may result from your participation in any activity during the trip. The aforesaid Kintetsu International and/or consultants can accept no responsibility for losses or accidental expenses due, as well, to delays or changes in schedules or departure, hotel overbookings, sickness, weather, strikes. War. Quarantines, riots or insurrections or criminal acts omitted by third parties, defaults, political disorders of any type, or other such similar causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger. Each exchange coupon, order, voucher and ticket is to be regarded as one contracted on or in behalf of the particular company or person named in it. The passenger contract in use by the airline concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract of air with the purchases of these tours and/or the Passenger. The airline companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The right is reserved to withdraw any tour announced in the package and to make such alterations to the itineraries as may be found desirable for the proper carrying out of the tour/tours. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable in the tour operator’s discretion to alter the arrangements or itineraries for the passenger’s comfort or welfare for any reason whatsoever, such alterations may be made without penalty to the operator. Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne by the passengers. The right is reserved to decline, to accept, or retain any person as a member of any group at any time. This option is issued on the sole responsibility of the tour operator.
Price Guarantee: Advertised package prices are based on tariffs and currency exchange rates in effect at time of production, October 2005. We reserve the right to adjust pricing upward should the value of the dollar decline by more than five (5%) from its value on October 2005. Increase in the value of the dollar will not result in a reduction in pricing.
